Looking for an alternative to trick-or-treating? Check out the 10th annual Grace Lutheran Church Fall Festival. Set for Oct. 31, it is held at Grace Lutheran, 422 Valhi Blvd. in Houma, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day’s fun includes bounce houses, facepainting, pony rides and games for children. Adults will enjoy a huge rummage and bake sale, raffle, a 100-plus item silent auction, food and live music. Also, the church is raffling a 42-inch, high definition LCD TV, a barbeque grill and a full setup to boil seafood. Tickets for the raffle are $2.

In true Christian spirit, Grace Lutheran donates all the proceeds to select Houma community charities. Thrivent Financials for Lutherans matches the funds collected at the event. This year’s recipients are Terrebonne Church’s United Food Bank, the Bunk House Shelter, the St. Vincent de Paul Free Pharmacy and Project Learn.

For more information, contact the church at (985) 879-1865.
