Toward that end, the Ladies Association of Minority Professionals n LAMP n is hosting its 5th annual Wellness Fair Saturday, May 12, at the Terrebonne Parish Library’s Main Branch (151 Civic Center Blvd.). The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is completely free to the entire community.
In addition to health information, a number of health screenings will be offered along with advice from local medical professionals.
Health topics include: high blood pressure; kidney dysfunction; diabetes; heart disease; cholesterol; women’s health issues; breastfeeding; cancer awareness; childhood illness; vision; mental health; weight management; HIV/STDs; dental health; nutrition; and safety.
A Kid’s Corner will be present with balloons, fingerprinting and arts and crafts.
Door prizes will be given and refreshments will be served.
So, for sound medical advice, a quick check-up and a bit of fun, mark May 12 on your calendar and plan to attend the LAMP Wellness Fair.
