Looking for something for your younger set to enjoy?

The 9th annual Summer Fun Kids Day kicks off Saturday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 2 to 12 (kids under age 2 are admitted free) at the door.

Enjoy a day of family fun with plenty of entertainment including a magic show, dancing with a DJ, picture-taking with The Cat in the Hat and Jimmy Neutron, rock wall climbing and games.

There are also plenty of inflatables for youngsters to blow off energy.

In all, 45 vendors are bringing children a number of activities such as face painting, balloon animals and sand art. Pamphlets and brochures will also be issued to the parents by some vendors.

The ever-popular event drew over 4,000 participants last year.

For more information about the event, call (985) 850-4657.
