April 25: Blessing of the Shrimp Fleet & Family Fun Day (Golden Meadow)

At Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 732 North Bayou Road, La. Hwy. 1, at 3 p.m. Decorated shrimp boats parade down Bayou Lafourche to the church of the blessing. A fishermen’s Mass takes place at 5 p.m. Live music by a Cajun band, meal and fais do do follow. For more info: (985) 475-5428.
