Straight from the grapevine to your eyeballs, this is the Rumor Mill.

Rumor has it that a downtown bar will be hosting an underground indie band. The management at The Brickhouse has informed me that they have lined up a show with the Cincinnati Entertainment Award-winning band Mad Anthony. The date for the show is Aug. 30, and tickets are available.

This is part of an steady effort by The Brickhouse and other downtown clubs to bring the best shows possible to life and to keep the patrons of Houma satisfied with the level of entertainment they’ve come to expect.

Mad Anthony are a punk-rock outfit from Cincinnati, Ohio. They’ve put out three albums to date, the latest is self titled and was released in 2012. Members include Ringo Jones (vocal and guitar), Adam Flaig (guitar and vocals), and Marc Sherlock (drums).

This is going to be one show that I won’t miss.
