‘Between You and Me,” a brash, funny and gripping drama set in modern day New York City, heads to the Houma Municipal Auditorium March 29. Curtain goes up at 7 p.m.


The play is the first offering in a series presented by Cloud Nine Productions of New Orleans.


“Between You and Me” centers on two black couples who on opposite sides of the black diaspora – socially, economically and personally. Despite all of their differences, the couples learn just how much they have in common.

The production stars New Orleanians Dui Jarrod (the brains behind Cloud Nine) and Kenneth Brown Jr., along with Big Easy award-winning actress Joan C. Spraggins. Stacye Markey also appears as Bre Briscoe, as does Lindsey Smith, who can also be seen in the feature film, “Hurricane Season.”

Cloud Nine and Diamonds and Pearls, a Terrebonne Parish-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to mentor young black women, are partnering to bring the play to Houma.
