NATCHITOCHES, LA – Celebration on the Cane is an annual celebration that the entire family can enjoy.

Many of the area attractions, shops and restaurants will be open during the day.

Attendees can expect “a Cane-River style celebration of the fourth of July,” Nick Pollacia, President of the Chamber of Commerce said.

The Independence Day celebration will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 4. Live entertainment will be provided from Mauva Belle & Hot Water, a hot band with funky rhythms that will keep the audience dancing all night long. They will perform on the Fleur de Lis Stage from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

After the performance, the audience can enjoy a 20-min long animated patriotic light show.

During the patriotic light show, red, white and blue lights will illuminate Natchitoches while it is synchronized by patriotic music such as “God Bless America” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.”

The celebration will rock on to the 9:15 p.m. final fireworks show over Cane River Lake.

Concessions will be sold that evening on the downtown riverbank.

Bring your family, friends, lawn chairs and blankets.
