Exhibits at West End Branch

John Paul Darden, a Chitimacha tribal basket weaver, will speak about this craft that has been handed down for generations. Join St. Mary Parish Library’s West End Branch Library in Baldwin as we welcome Darden at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 11. The program is open to the public free of charge. This project is part of the library’s Key Ingredients: America By Food complimentary programming to the Smithsonian exhibit. The exhibit, made possible through a grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities will be on view at the library from Jan. 10 to Feb. 21.
