It’s never too early to begin thinking about Easter. That’s the focus of Charter Communication’s Relay for Life team’s 1st annual Spring Fling March 12 at Thibodaux’s Peltier Park.

Set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the fundraising event includes fun for the younger set, children ages 1 to 10: sack races, ring and beanbag tosses, bounce houses and more. There’ll also be crafts, karaoke and – the day’s highlight – an Easter egg hunt. The cost is $5 per child.

The Easter Bunny is also slated to stop by for photos. Pictures sell for $3.

Charter’s 25-member Relay for Life team is relying on the Spring Fling to help generate cash for the American Cancer Society’s big relay on April 8. “We’re hoping to grow this into an annual event,” said Charter’s team captain Tracy Adams. “It’s a day full of fun for a great cause.”
