July 18 and 19 Swamp Pop Music Festival (Gonzales)

Beginning at 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. The indoor production features Louisiana’s finest swamp pop, zydeco and Cajun performers, including Waylon Thibodeaux, Foret Tradition and Kane Glaze and Coozan. The event also includes a two-day jambalaya cook-off, open truck and car show and motorcycle poker run. Tickets are $12 Friday and $10 Saturday. Weekend passes are $20.
