July 9: 200th Birthday Celebration of St. Mary Parish (Morgan City)

At Kemper Williams Park, from 4 to 9 p.m. (337) 828-4100 or tdoucet@stmaryparishla.gov. Sponsored by the St. Mary Parish Government and St. Mary Parish Tourist Commission, the event includes performances by Flashback and Johnny Chauvin & the Mojo Band, food, children’s activities, birthday cake and a fireworks display. The 2nd annual “Spring Into Wellness” celebration is also planned. It includes face painting, coloring contest, fruit bags, kid’s bingo, a golf putting contest, school supply basket raffle, cash raffles, a silent auction and activities to promote healthy eating and living.
