Get a glimpse of the good old days Sunday, April 25, at the Laurel Valley Spring Heritage Festival.

The free festival gets under way at 10 a.m. on the grounds of the Laurel Valley Village Store at 595 Highway 308, just outside of Thibodaux.

Adults and children can enjoy the old hit-and-miss engines, working antique farm machinery, antique fans, boats and boat-building demonstrations. Visitors also get a chance to see demonstrations of antique cypress boats with one-cylinder engines.

Youngsters will also have fun with the live chickens and may even find an egg or two. Pigs, goats and much more will give them a feel for farm life from days gone by.
