Big Easy dynamos Becky Allen, Amanda Hebert and Jodi Borrello, “The 3 Charmers of New Orleans”, take the Bayou Playhouse by storm June 11, at 7:30 p.m. and again July 9. Tickets are $23.

Back by popular demand, the ladies landed at the Lockport theatre earlier this year. Hurricane Katrina, the BP Oil Spill and everything in between were not funny occurrences, yet the ‘Charmers’ have left audiences in stitches.

New Orleans, and its people, are unique. And Allen, Hebert and Borrello bring their unique, relentless New Orleans spirit to the world.

A blend of stand-up comedy and skits, “Charmers” delivers an understanding as to why anyone, in New Orleans or the Tri-parishes, call this region home.

The characters capture a special place in audience’s hearts. There’s Ms. Inez Lappicola (Allen), who lost everything in the wake of Katrina, and best friend Loyce Cangelosi (Hebert), who stands by through it all. And comedian Borrello shares the meaning of “Big Easy family unit” in a side-splitting way.

“It’s a night that is sure to be filled with laughter and stories that would make your mamma blush, brought to you by three women with decades of talent under their belt,” Playhouse founder Perry Martin said. “If you love New Orleans, you will love this show.”

Tickets are $23. Call 1-888-99-BAYOU (22968) for more information.
