Wednesday, Nov. 4, 11 & 18, 10 a.m. – RELIC Program (Readings in Literature and Culture) I’ll be seeing you… America and World War II book discussion continues. This program examines how Americans waged total war for human rights using an arsenal of new weapons and combat tactics that still shape the world today. The discussions will be lead by Drs. Paul Leslie and Guenter Bischof. Readers will examine the nature of the war as fought on the high seas of the Pacific and the plains of Europe with the perspective of America’s principle opponents included. Book packets are still available for pickup.

Exhibits at Main Library
Emile Hebert will exhibit his Pan Handle Pete collection. This expansive collection includes Western paraphernalia of Old West, Hollywood West, and even an array of model antique and western guns.
Artist Ann Hitt will display her collection of handmade quilts. Ann is a textile artist from the Lafourche-Terrebonne area. Her quilts are all handmade and range from elaborate works to those done with scrap materials. The display will run through the end of the year.
