The 32nd annual Over and Under 5K Tunnel Run and Heart Health Expo will take place in Houma on March 10. Sponsored by the American

Heart Association, the event will begin at the Houma Municipal Auditorium, with registration starting a 2 p.m.

While the run for grown ups starts at 4 p.m., kids can get in on the action before that.

A special Trapp Kids Fun Run starts at 3 p.m. Also, footballrelated activities will be available for the little ones.

“There will be a kid’s area,” said Carey Lawson, regional vice president of field services. “It will be the New Orleans Saints Experience. We won’t have any of the players on hand, but it’s made up of games and such that they bring up for the kids to play.”

There will also be food and live music, with the tunes being provided by The Renditions. As part of the health expo, health booths will be available for people to visit.

The run starts on Division Street at 4 p.m., and goes west on Point Street.

From there, runners will travel on Gabasse Street to Main Street, where they will pass over the twin spans. The route then goes onto Grand Calliou Road and onto Tunnel Boulevard, where runners will go through the tunnel to the end of the route.

Lawson said it will be a good time for everyone in attendance. “There will be food and music,” she said. “After the run we’ll post the results and hand out the awards. It’ll be a great time and it’s a great opportunity for families to enjoy a day of fitness and help out a good cause.”

Admission for children under 12 years old is $10. Advance entry for all other participants is $20. Race-day entry for all other participants is $25. For more information, call (985) 851-3479.
