Terrebonne High School will host Viva la Voce!, a vocal music festival and recital, on May 5 in the school’s auditorium.


A celebration of life in song, the event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with middle school student performances. The singers include Joelie Cantrelle, Sarah Bernard and Chelsea Morris from Mulberry Elementary School; Mariah Smith from Elysian Fields Middle School; Catherine Roy from Evergreen Junior High School; and Tabitha Theriot from Houma Junior High School.


At 11 a.m., high school sophomore student performances get under way.

Singing will be Kaysee Carerre, Arielle Domingue, Kasey Firmature and Alys Reed from H.L. Bourgeois High Schoool; Ashley D. Neal from South Terrebonne High School; and Kimberley West from Terrebonne High School.


At 2 p.m., high school juniors perform.

Singing will be Ginny Ambrose and Leigh Taylor Motley from H.L. Bourgeois High School; Kristen Bice from Terrebonne High School; Beth Detiveaux from South Terrebonne High School; and Bruno Doria from Vandebilt Catholic High School.

And at 3:30 p.m., high school seniors will perform. They include Brittany LeBlan and Joshua Martin from Terrebonne High School; Toni Fitch from Ellender Memorial High School; Tiffany Vice and Dante Vegas from Vandebilt Catholic High School. The suggested donation for the all-day event is $2.

The program is supported by funds from the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government’s Arts Funding Program.
