Ever wonder what happened before Dorothy dropped into Oz?

Here’s your chance to find out.

Tickets for Broadway’s biggest blockbuster, “Wicked” are on sale at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre Box Office, 1419 Basin St., or via Ticketmaster.

The musical runs March 24 through April 11.

Penned by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman, the story is based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire.

The story focuses on two girls who meet in the land of Oz. One – born with emerald green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. “Wicked” tells the story of their odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glenda the Good Witch.
