In just three short years of existence, Wildkat wrestling shows have turned lots of heads in the New Orleans metro and surrounding areas.

So commemorating its three-year anniversary, the organization in its infancy in years but not in quality will hold its anniversary show Nov. 8 at J.D. Meisler Middle School in Metairie.

Former Smackdown World Heavyweight Champion and five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T. will make an appearance at the show, as will six-time WWE Hardcore Champion Hardcore Holly, who will face Wildkat owner and head trainer Luke Hawx in a Bourbon Street Brawl.

“Luke has had kind of a rocky relationship with Hardcore Holly. They’ve gone back and forth for a couple of years, and Hardcore Holly was pretty much retired, but Luke kind of coaxed him out of retirement to have this big street fight at this show to prove who’s the better man,” said Wildkat play-by-play announcer and ring announcer Brett Landry.

Other matches on the card include a 15-man over-the-top battle royal for the vacant Wildkat Revolution Championship, a two-out-of-three falls match between Purple Haze and Ricky Starks and an I Quit match between Danny Flamingo and J. Spade.

The rules of an I Quit match are as simple as the title of the match indicates. The only way to win is to place your opponent in such a precarious position he must humbly utter the words “I Quit.” But J. Spade doesn’t want his opponent to stop there in this rivalry-culminating contest.

“I want him to quit our match. I want him to quit Wildkat. I want him to quit his life if he could. He can go back to McDonalds. He can go back to a used, beat up car lot. I want him out of Wildkat. I want him out of my life,” J. Spade said.

J. Spade will also join 14 cohorts in the Revolution Rumble.

“The Revolution Rumble is going to be a showcase of all the talent that Wildkat has either created or has helped create, so it’s going to be kind of like a Wildkat best of in the rumble,” Landry said.

Mexican lucha libre Bestia, the son of former WCW wrestler Damian 666, will also compete at the show.

Tickets range from $10 to $20, and doors open at 6 p.m. with a bell time of 7 p.m. Visit Wildkatsports.com for more information.

“We have a super high quality product, and it’s a good time,” Landry said. “The shows aren’t extreme R rated, and they aren’t fluffy PG rated either. We ride a really good line.”
