The French Food Festival returns for its 46th year at Larose Regional Park, 307 E. 5th St., this weekend (Oct. 25-27).

The popular festival, of course, will be offering plenty of food! Over 40 booths will be serving such Cajun classics such as jambalaya, seafood gumbo, red beans & sausage, fried fish, crawfish pies, alligator sauce piquante, crawfish fettuccine and much, much more.

There will be a full bar at the event, too, that will include beer, wine and daiquiris.

Besides getting their fill on delicious food and drinks, festivalgoers will be able to enjoy carnival rides (pay-one-price bracelets are $20 each for five hours and $50 for the weekend), auctions, a dance contest, an art exhibit, games and other exciting activities.

The weekend will be full of live, entertaining music — including such big acts as the Gordon Bradberry Band, Amanda Shaw and Don Rich, among others.

The family-friendly event will introduce its first-ever cornhole tournament this year as well.

Admission and parking for the festival are free.
