Santa Claus is coming to Raceland this weekend! The Lafourche Fire District #1 volunteers will host a Santa Parade and Tree lighting on Sunday, Dec.5, at the Fire Station Under HWY 90 overpass from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The evening will begin with the Christmas parade rolling at 6 p.m. The route begins on St.Phillips Street and will travel down HWY 1 back to the fire station under HWY 90 Bridge.

The lighting ceremony will take place following the parade where kids can help Santa light the tree and give the jolly fellow their wish lists. There will be gifts for all of the boys and girls who are on Santa’s nice list!

In addition, guests will be served hot chocolate and cookies. The event is open to the public with free admission. They invite you to bring the entire family to see Santa!

For more information on the Santa Parade and Tree Lighting event contact the First District Fire Station at (985) 537-5000 or visit them on Facebook.
