TARC Bell Choir

Members of the TARC Bell Choir proudly present an evening performance of holiday music for your enjoyment! The Bell Choir is comprised of about 6 individuals and is led by adult services supervisor Karen Henderson. The members play their arrangements using Kodaly hand signals. The event is free and open to the public.

A Bayou Christmas Teddy Bear Tea

Santa’s elves have been busy preparing for the Bayou Christmas Teddy Bear Tea. This festive event will be the perfect holiday experience to share with children and grandchildren. Enjoy a presentation of delicious holiday food, specialty teas, and hot chocolate. Holiday characters will entertain and delight with music, story time, games and a special teddy bear gift for all children in attendance followed by a teddy bear parade.

Join Santa and his elves for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage, milk or orange juice. Sing Christmas carols along with the Maria Immacolata School choir. Be sure to bring your camera for a photo with Santa!

You’re invited to a free, family-friendly event featuring photos with Santa along with donuts, hot chocolate and coffee! Meet Santa and his friend, the Elf on the Shelf. Stay until the end to hear a reading of “The Night Before Christmas”!

Papa Noël’s Cajun Christmas

Celebrate Christmas on the bayou with Houma Travel’s third annual event. Storytelling, food and drinks, music, children’s activities and more will be available. Meet Papa Noel and have your photo taken with the jolly ole soul. Admission for this community event is free. To better assist with the flow of the event, please register your family for a time slot by visiting papanoelhouma.eventbrite.com. Only one e-ticket per family is necessary!

Harry Potter Yule Ball

Terrebonne Parish Main Library will host an after-hours, adults-only Harry Potter Yule Ball in honor of J.K. Rowling’s beloved series. The Yule Ball is a wintry social event for adults. Formal attire is encouraged. Festivities are set to include Harry Potter-themed refreshments and decor, an opportunity to find your Hogwarts house, plenty of dancing, and more. Admission is free. Please RSVP by December 10 to attend.

The Houma-Terrebonne Community Band presents Christmas melodies at the Cathedral featuring vocalist Kim Champagne, conducted by Kim Dusenbery and Matthew Duplantis.

Military Roundtable 

The Regional Military Museum hosts their monthly roundtable. This month’s speaker is Mr. Galen Wager who will speak on the Battle of Tarawa and the 75th Anniversary Commemoration. Mr. Wager is a Marine Corps League member and organized the November Tarawa reenactment. All lectures are free and open to the public.
