Looking for a gift that will stand the test of time? Southdown Plantation and Museum along with the Terrebonne Historical and Cultural Society are currently selling personalized engraved bricks for the grounds of the historic plantation.

“Southdown Museum is an historic sugar plantation home in the heart of Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana,” reads the official flier. “We have filled the home with many exhibits, showcasing the sugar cane industry, the history of the plantation ad mill, Mardi Gras, law enforcement and fire fighters, as well as the four generations of the Minor family that built the sugar plantation and beloved home. Your contribution of a legacy brick will be a lasting and meaningful tribute to your family displayed proudly on the grounds of Southdown Museum for decades to come.”

Bricks are 4×8″ and include up to three lines of engraving, with 18 characters per line. The cost of a brick is $100, and all proceeds will go towards continuous restoration and operations of Southdown Plantation and Museum.

If you are interested in purchasing a brick, please visit Southdown Plantation or click here to pay and fill out your form!
