Thibodaux High School Girls’ Track and Field team named District Champions

Congratulations to the Thibodaux High School Girls’ Track and Field team for recently being named District Champions! The boys team placed third, and multiple athletes were named District Champions as well.

“We are feeling really good about this win,” said head coach Daniel Trosclair. “We are excited to be going to regionals in a few weeks, and then states the first week of May. This win gave us a great burst of energy!” Read below to see the names of athletes named District Champions in their specific competitions:

• Cohen Aucoin: 3200 meter run
• Reese Prevost: pole vault
• Haydon Fields: discus
• Gabrielle Fanguy: 100 meter hurdles
• Sanai Kennedy: 300 meter hurdles
• Ja’kharia Johnson: the javelin
• Gabrielle Mosley: shot put
