Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the recent graduation of the Terrebonne Parish Regional Training Academy, POST Basic #42 Graduating class, which took place on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Evergreen Cajun Center.

 

The graduation was led by Captain Timothy Lucas and the entire staff of the Terrebonne Parish Regional Training Academy, as well as many distinguished members of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Houma Police Department.  Sheriff Tim Soignet provided the welcoming address, in addition to Chief Travis Theriot and Chief Dana Tymone Coleman providing speeches for all in attendance.


 

The event saw 19 graduates complete the POST required training academy, which was comprised of cadets from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Houma Police Department.  These young Officers and Deputies will begin their career with their respective agencies and take the academy-based training learned as a foundation for future growth.

 

The graduates of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office are as follows:

Christopher Prejean, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, and recipient of the prestigious Academic and Marksmanship Awards.


Ty Henry, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, and recipient of the prestigious Physical Fitness Award.

Timothy Adams, Christian Allen, Jeff Arceneaux, Teddy Charpentier Jr, David Dingler, Mia Domangue, Germaine Johnson, Blaine Mott, Cole Pitre, Gary Rodrigue, Jaquan Rounds, Derek Santiny, Kayla Smith, and Hunter Theriot.

 

The graduates of the Houma Police Department are as follows:


Tytan Parfait, Abner Ramirez, and Brayden Threeton.
