Due to expected inclement weather, this year’s Ala Bayou Terrebonne Christmas Boat Parade will begin at 5:00 PM tonight, Sat., Dec. 19.

The parade will still follow the original route, beginning at the St. Ann Bridge in Bourg, and ending at the Humble Canal LA-55 Bridge in Montegut. Anyone wishing to participate is welcome to, so long as the boat is decorated accordingly and at the bridge before or at the updated start time.

“We’re going to be leaving at 5:00. Parade’s going to be a little earlier than normal. It’s going to be right at dusk. It won’t be as dark as we’d like to have it, but we’ve got to get past the parade, and Santa’s got to see those kids,” said organizer Kevin Belanger.
