By SOPHIA RUFFIN

The four-year-old chefs of Carousel Daycare and Pre-K on West Park Avenue have interesting things to say about Thanksgiving.

It is amazing how children’s perceptions of the holidays change and they grow. Between the ages of four and five, the holidays are magical with a twist of reality on top. For instance, when asked what does a turkey look like, the Carousel Pre-K student replied in unison n “Food.”

When asked, “Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving,” students came up with some unique answers and some shared the same opinions about Thanksgiving.

“First you have to kill the turkey and then you cook it in a microwave for five hours.” Sydney Matherne

“I’m thankful for the turkey because it feeds my family,” Kara Carlos.

“That my cousins can come and play with me on Thanksgiving Day.” Ethan Collins.
