Lafourche Parish from Raceland south will be in a boil water advisory until further notice.
Residents should not consume water without first boiling the water for at least 1 minute.
The water is safe to take showers at this time. Residents will not have water pressure for some time until the water district reopens the valves, which were closed to preserve the system.
