August 23, 2007Take note parents: The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will be giving away free booster seats Friday August 31 at the Wal-Mart Superstore in Mathews.
Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Sgt. Antoine Rodrigue will give away 60 booster seats.
The store is located on Louisiana Highway 1.
Children must be 42 to 57 inches tall and weigh 40 to 80 pounds. In addition, the vehicle must have a rear seat lap-shoulder belt. Both the child and vehicle must be present to receive a free seat, the sheriff’s office said. No exceptions will be made.
