Registered fishermen still waiting by the phone for BP

June 24, 2010BP is offering an additional class for its Vessels of Opportunity and beach clean up programs in Lafourche Parish.
It will take place Tuesday, June 29, at the Larose VFW Hall (located at 2322 VFW Ave., just off West 23rd Street in Larose).
Two sessions will be held with one beginning at 9 a.m. and the other at 2 p.m.
Training is free, and organizers will be on site to provide information about how to seek employment in either field.
Applicants are encouraged to show up early, because spots in the training session are filled on a first-come, first-served business.
