A Houma man and teen female were arrested early Thursday after breaking into a car outside a Main Street lounge, Houma Police said.

Police responded to the criminal property complaint in the 7000 block of Main Street around 1:07 a.m. Witnesses said the couple was spotted breaking the window of a 1994 Mercury Marquee and trying to enter the car, according to police.

Based on witnesses’ descriptions, police found the two at the intersection of Gabasse Street and Park Avenue.

The male, Matt Marcel, 20, of 2374 Coteau Road, was arrested for simple burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, police said. After he got belligerent toward the officers, a resisting an officer charge was added.

The 15-year-old female was charged with curfew violation and was released to her mother, police said.
