State Police: Impairment, speed suspected factors in fatal Lafourche crash

From the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office around 3 p.m.:
LA 308 is closed approximately one mile NW of St. Charles Bypass Road in Thibodaux due to a crash.
All traffic should detour to LA 1 at the Percy Brown Bridge and the St Charles Bridge.
There is currently no estimate of when the highway will reopen.
