Armed robbery arrest made by Houma Police

The Houma Police Department announced the arrest a 20-year-old man for his alleged role in a weekend armed robbery.


HPD spokesman Sgt. Kyle Faulk said Saturday night at approximately 9 p.m., a victim reported to authorities that he was near the Bunk House on Main Street in Houma when two black males approached him.


Faulk said the victim reported that one of the suspects struck him with an unknown object and then took his bicycle.

Detectives investigating the incident later located one of the suspects on Buron Street. He was identified as Ronnie Houle, 20, of No. 24 Kirkland Loop. He was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count of armed robbery.


Faulk said the victim in the case was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries. The bicycle was also recovered.


Man arrested after stabbing with scissors

A 24-year-old Houma man was arrested last week after he allegedly stabbed someone multiple times with a pair of scissors.


Ryan Price, 243 Magnolia St., Apt. 2, was arrested and charged with aggravated second degree battery.


Price allegedly stabbed the victim after a verbal altercation, after which he is said to have fled the scene. Officers later located the suspect and made the arrest.

Chauvin man arrested in month-old burglary case


A month-old burglary investigation led to the arrest of a Chauvin man last week, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Vernon Bourgeois said.


Lance Paul Faciane, 29, 5926 Bayouside Drive, was arrested and charged with simple burglary last Tuesday. He remains in the Terrebonne Parish Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment on April 17.

Deputies responded to a residential burglary complaint Feb. 18 seven blocks away from Faciane’s listed address. The victim said he noticed his RV camper had been burglarized and reported that a handgun, rifle and two shotguns were stolen.

The case was forwarded to detectives, who recovered three of the stolen guns, Bourgeois said.

The case remains under investigation and the sheriff’s office is asking that anyone with knowledge of the incident call the detective bureau at (985) 876-2500.

Woman arrested over credit card permission dispute

A Bourg woman was jailed after she allegedly credited $550 to a Capital One credit card unduly acquired in her ex-boyfriend’s name, according to Terrebonne Sheriff Vernon Bourgeois.

Ashley Nicole Cain, 26, 217 Rural Drive, was arrested for fraudulent acquisition of a credit card last Tuesday after the alleged victim filed an identity theft complaint.

Cain was released on $25,000 bond the same day and is scheduled for arraignment on April 17.

Cain allegedly opened the account two years ago without the victim’s permission. She admitted to opening the account but said her ex-boyfriend had given her permission, Bourgeois said.

Houma Police makes shooting arrest

The Houma Police Department arrested the man it says is responsible for shooting someone five times in the leg last week.

HPD spokesman Sgt. Kyle Faulk said authorities were called to Naquin Street last Monday during the early morning hours.

Once on the scene, police learned that Henry Allridge, 18, of 312 Naquin St., Houma, was involved in an altercation with a victim during which Allridge allegedly produced a weapon and shot the victim five times in the leg.

Allridge was taken into custody three days later and charged with one count of aggravated second degree battery.
