2 bank employees arrested for stealing money from drawers

Two bank workers in south Lafourche Parish are in custody after they allegedly took money from the business’s drawers.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said this week that Tabatha Allemand, 30, of 208 Bayou Folse, Raceland and Tammy Price, 51, of 102 W. 165th St., Galliano, have each been charged with felony theft in the case.

Authorities said they were called to a bank branch in Cut Off on April 8 after managers claimed the two women confessed to taking money from the bank’s drawers.

Detectives then made contact with both Allemand and Price, and they admitted to taking money from the bank on multiple occasions, according to deputies.

Each suspect is being held on a $10,000 bond.
