Brothers hauled in for separate incidents in Lafourche

A pair of Lafourche Parish siblings are in custody of the sheriff’s office after being arrested for separate stealing incidents on Gaspard Drive in Larose.

On June 18, deputies responded to the street in reference to over $1,000 being taken from a residence. Prescription medication was also taken in the melee.

Through investigation, detectives were able to identify Dezman Allen, 18, of 204 Sunny Acres Drive, Larose, as a suspect. Authorities located Allen and took him in for questioning, during which he allegedly confessed to his involvement in the incident, which led to the suspect being booked with simply burglary of an inhabited dwelling.

A day later, authorities said, they were again called to Gaspard Drive when a victim claimed that 12 containers of herbicide were stolen from his carport.

Through investigation of this incident, authorities identified Dezman Allen’s brother, Dustin Allen, 19, of 204 Sunny Acres Drive, Larose, as the suspect.

On June 24, detectives were able to locate Allen and place him under arrest for his alleged role in the crime.

He is charged with felony theft and is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond and a hold by the Louisiana Probation and Parole Board.

Dezman Allen is being held on a $25,000 bond.
