A 19-year-old man was pushed into Bayou Terrebonne Christmas Eve by two suspects on bicycles, according to a police spokesman.

Houma Police spokesman Lt. Todd Duplantis said the man called police around 7:18 p.m. to report the incident.

As he walked across the Gassse Street Bridge in West Houma, near Main and Park avenues, the two cyclists rode up behind the victim and pushed him off the bridge into the bayou, Duplantis said.

The victim said he did not see the suspects. Officers patrolled the area, but were unable to find the suspects, Duplantis said.
