The Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux announced that four pastoral appointments have been made effective immediately.

The Rev. Joseph Chacko, I.M.S., has been appointed as an associate pastor at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral for the next three years.

In his prior assignment, Chacko was serving as rector of the Indian Mission Society Minor Seminary in India.

Joining Chacko at the St. Joseph Co-Cathedral will be the Rev. Joseph Minh Nguyen, S.D.D., who has also been appointed as an associate pastor at the church, as well. Like Chacko, Nguyen will have a three-year period.

Also joining the Diocese will be the Rev. Andrew Sagayam, who will have a one-year period as an associate pastor at the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales in Houma.

Sagayam had been serving as an administrator at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Richmond, VA.

The Rev. Ramji Shouraiah will also join the Diocese and will serve a three-year period at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose as an associate pastor.

Shouraiah was previously serving at Maddikera, Infant Jesus Shrine.
