Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux’s Bishop Sam G. Jacobs announced four appointments within the area.

Assignments for the Revs. Justino Estoque Jr., Arnold B. Baura, Thankachan “John” Nambusseril and Tin Ngyuen, and Deacon Chris Prestenback are effective immediately.

Estoque has been serving as associate pastor of the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales parish in Houma. He will now serve as administrator of Holy Family Church parish in Grand Caillou through June, replacing the Rev. Ron Yee-Mon, who is taking a 1-year leave of absence.

Baura, who has been serving since June 2009 as pastor of St. Isidore the Farmer Church parish in Bohol, Philippines, will serve two years as associate pastor of St. Hilary of Poitiers Church parish in Mathews.

A native of Bohol, Baura graduated from San Carlos Major Seminary in Cebu, Philippines. He was ordained in May 2002.

Nambusseril, C.M.I., moves from the associate pastor post at St. Hilary to Sacred Heart Church parish in Montegut, where he will serve a six-month stretch as administrator. He replaces the Rev. Ceasar Silva, who is serving as a military chaplain.

Nguyen, who previously served as associate pastor of Thanh Gia (Holy Family) Church parish in Amelia, has been named the parish’s pastor for six years.

Meanwhile, Prestenback, who has been serving as deacon at St. Bernadette Church parish in Houma, has been appointed deacon at Maria Immacolata Church parish, also in Houma, for a period of three years.
