Bishop Sam G. Jacobs of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux has made seven pastoral appointments, and these moves will be made effective on Wednesday, June 30. The moves are as follows:


• The Rev. Jerod Duet, currently an associate pastor of St. Bernadette Church parish in Houma, has been appointed full-time director of the diocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry for three years.


• The Rev. Peter Tai Le, currently a chaplain in the U.S. Navy, has been appointed pastor of St. Mary’s Nativity Church parish in Raceland for six years.

• The Rev. Glenn LeCompte, currently serving as director of the diocesan office of Worship and Continuing Education of the Clergy and associate pastor of the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales in Houma, has been appointed as spiritual director of the Lumen Christi Retreat Center in Schriever and as director of the diocesan Office of Ecumenism, while also remaining as director of Worship and Continuing Education of the Clergy.


His length of appointment is five years.

• The Rev. Anthony Tin Nguyen, S.D.D., currently serving as administrator of Saints Peter and Paul Vietnamese Mission and associate pastor of St. Dominic Church in Panama City, Fl., has been appointed as associate pastor of Thanh Gia (Holy Family) Church parish in Amelia for three years.

• The Rev. Charles Perkins, currently pastor of St. Mary’s Nativity Church parish in Raceland, has been appointed co-pastor of St. Bernadette Church parish in Houma. Will become full-time pastor upon retirement of Father Patrick O’Brien. His length of appointment is six years.

• The Rev. Joshua Rodrigue, currently pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church parish in Bayou Black, has been appointed director of the diocesan Office of Vocations. He will continue to serve as pastor at St. Anthony of Padua for five years.

• The Rev. Alberto J. Santiago, currently an associate pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Church parish in Larose, has been appointed pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Church parish in Larose for one year.
