Registered voters in the Tri-parish region have the opportunity to cast ballots early beginning Saturday.

The Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office established early voting dates for this year’s gubernatorial primary and general elections.

State ordinances require that parish registrars of voters offer a 14-day opening to any scheduled election for voters to cast early ballots. Individual parishes set the locations and open their doors between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Early voting for the gubernatorial primary and general elections is scheduled for Oct. 8-15 (except Sunday) for the Oct. 22 primary, and Nov. 5-12 (except Sunday and Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11) for the general election on Nov. 19.

Early voting locations in the Tri-parishes include the Terrebonne Parish Registrar of Voters office, 8756 Main Street in Houma, Lafourche Parish Registrar of Voters offices at 307 W. 4th Street in Thibodaux and the South Lafourche Library Building at 16241 E. Main Street in Cut Off, St. Mary Registrar of Voters offices at 101 Wilson St. in Franklin and 301 3rd St. in Morgan City.
