Early voting for the Nov. 19 general election in Lafourche, Terrebonne and St. Mary parishes will remain open through Saturday.

The early polls close at 6 p.m. on Nov. 12. Residents can vote between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Registrar of Voters main office in Thibodaux or the branch office in Galliano in Lafourche, or in Houma or Morgan City.

The offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

Voters at the Thibodaux office are being asked to park in the front of the building on all days except for Nov. 12. On that day, parking will be made available behind the building, the registrar of voters said.

Absentee ballots can be obtained online at www.lafourchegov.org or www.geauxvote.com. They must be returned to the respective office by Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m.

Several items are on the ballot, including the Lafourche parish president’s race between two-term incumbent Charlotte Randolph and Jimmy Cantrelle.
