As part of their Hurricane Zeta Relief Grants, Bayou Community Foundation has awarded Friends of Bayou Lafourche $3,900 for South Lafourche business recovery in the wake of Hurricane Zeta. Specifically, this grant money will be used to rebuild and rebrand the city of Leeville. In a release Friends of Bayou Lafourche announced:

“GRANT AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT! Friends of Bayou Lafourche has received funding from the Bayou Community Foundation to complete a ‘Leeville Business Recovery Campaign’. Through a comprehensive and multi-platform campaign, Friends of Bayou Lafourche and its partners can effectively develop and execute a multi-parish marketing effort. The project will include both short-term and long-term components to ensure Leeville is properly recognized as a top fishing destination in our state for the foreseeable future. The Leeville Fishing Village & Cultural Preservation Commission and business owners will be at the center of this campaign as we develop the necessary materials and information needed for a professional marketing campaign. This campaign will fulfill the need to have a single, up to date, collaborative source for information solely on Leeville Keep an eye out as we begin releasing new material!”
