November 7, 2011The Golden Meadow Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Nov. 7.
A contractor with the state Department of Transportation and Development will perform work on the bridge as part of an electrical rehabilitation project, according to Lafourche Parish Government.
The bridge spans Bayou Lafourche. Marine traffic will not be affected.
Motorists can cross the bayou on the Belle Vue Swing or Galliano Vertical Lift bridges, which are about 19 and seven miles north of the project, respectively.
