The Greater Lafourche Port Commission is seeking applicants for summer roustabout positions. If you’re enrolled in a college or university and a resident of the Lafourche or Terrebonne area, GLPC has an opportunity for four students to make money this summer.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be registered college students and complete an application
- Must be able to conduct physical labor
- Must be able to pass a drug screen test and physical exam.
Applications can be found online at http://www.portfourchon.com, under the News and Events tab. GLPC is accepting applications until Tuesday, May 10. Applicants can stop by the Commission office, located at, 131 East 91st St., Cut Off, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to submit an application.
Roustabout applicants will be selected by a drawing from all approved applicants on Wednesday, May 11. Preference shall be given to residents of the 10th Ward of Lafourche Parish.
