Heavy Rain Threat for Sunday, December 24

From the National Weather Service:

WHAT:  SLIGHT RISK of Flooding Rainfall

WHEN: Mainly Sunday through Sunday night.

WHERE: All of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

CONFIDENCE: We are confident there will be numerous showers and thunderstorms across the area but low confidence in widespread or major flooding issues.

Impacts:

• Rainfall totals are expected to be from 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts Sunday through Monday. Saturated areas that receive the highest rainfall rates could have water in low lying and poor drainage areas.
