Houma Police charged a homeless woman with forgery Tuesday after he allegedly stole a FEMA check out of a mailbox and cashed it without authorization, a department spokesman said.

Lt. Todd Duplantis said detectives arrested Tee Shaun D. Rodgers, 29, of stealing the check out of a mailbox on the 300 block of Dixie Street in East Houma.

Detectives had made several attempts to locate Rodgers, but have been unsuccessful, Duplantis said. A warrant for her arrest on one count of forgery has been issued, he said.

Anyone with information on Rodgers’ whereabouts is asked to call the Houma Police at (985) 873-6371.
