Houma Police arrested a local man Wednesday morning following a domestic abuse complaint.


Department spokesman Lt. Todd Duplantis said Brady Lawrence Fazzio, 25, of 340 South Van Ave., Houma, was arrested after his girlfriend reported he had hit and bit her.


The couple had been in a two-year relationship, which was very abuse, according to the woman. Duplantis said she told police Fazzio was constantly hitting and biting her.

Police reported seeing several bruises on the woman’s body, include a severe bite mark on her shoulder, he said.


Police found Fazzio at his residence; he admitting to hitting and biting his girlfriend.

Fazzio was charged with second-degree battery.

Duplantis said the victim was taken to a safe place.

If convicted, he said Fazzio faces up to five years in prison and a $2,000 fine.
