Houma Police are asking residents in the Levron Street area in West Houma to be on the lookout for thieves following several residential burglaries in the area, a department spokesman said.

Lt. Todd Duplantis said two residential burglaries were reported to police on Jan. 5. Once occurred in the 400 block and the other on the 100 block of Levron Street. On Jan. 7, two more burglaries were reported; both on the 100 block of the street, he said. The following day, Jan. 8, burglars revisited the home they’d broken into on Jan. 5.

Duplantis said burglars are taking a variety of items including digital cameras, blankets, printers, computers and jewelry. They gain access into the homes by kicking in the rear or front door of the residence, he said.

Houma Police are asking residents to report any unusual activity in their neighborhood at (985) 873-6371.
