The Houma Police Department released a surveillance video this morning that identifies a person of interest that may be involved in the weekend murder of Jewel Lamark at Daniel Turner Trailer Court.

In the video, a person is shown riding a bike on Memory Lane toward Daniel Turner Trailer Park prior to the homicide. Other surveillance footage shows the same person fleeing the area just after authorities believe the homicide was committed.

Authorities were called to the trailer court on Sept. 6 in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Lamark lying by a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Throughout the course of the investigation, HPD has interviewed several individuals, though no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information or ability to identify the person in the video is asked to call the Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433.
