The Lafourche Parish School Board is set to discuss its debt bond, tax millage and receive reports from parish students and officials from the Louisiana health and hospital department.

On Wednesday, April 4, the board will consider calling a special election to be held in the parish consolidate school district No. 1 to authorize the incurring of debt and bond issuances.

Two students from Larose Cut Off Middle School will present their social studies projects to the board.

In conjunction with the school board meeting on Monday afternoon, the Advisory Committee will authorize a dispensing site for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Public Health and Emergency Preparedness and Response.

In addition, a special meeting has been set for 6:30 p.m. prior to the school board meeting on Wednesday for the board to receive public comments concerning the 2007 tax millage.

The board plans to adopt a resolution establishing and fixing the tax millage to be levied upon the assessment roll for the 2007 year.
