July 9, 2010The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold two RAD Kids defense courses for children ages 5 to 12 in the month of July.
One class will be held in Raceland and another in Thibodaux.
The Raceland course will be held from July 12-16, and the class times will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. for children 5 to 7 and 1 to 2:30 p.m. for children ages 8 to 12.
The Thibodaux class is going to be held from July 26-30, and the times for that course are the same as the Raceland sessions.
The cost to register is $10 per child, and those interested are asked to call Sgt. Carla B. Landry at (985) 537-9656, or e-mail carla-landry@lpso.net.
The deadline to register for the Raceland course is July 9. July 23 is the deadline for the classes in Thibodaux.
RAD stands for “resist aggression defensively.”
